For those who meet the eligibility requirements, the NHS and VIP Eyewear will pay the entire cost of an eye test (funding is not available to everyone).

Sadly, being pregnant does not qualify you for a free eye test by the NHS. Pregnancy does not pose any risks for getting your eyes examined, and you should still schedule an appointment if your vision changes.
The duration of the VIP eye exam is usually 20 minutes, though this can change based on the specifics of each case. The eye test could take a little longer to finish if you are elderly or have a health issue.

Unfortunately, the FREE NHS Eye Test does not include an optical coherence tomography scan (OCT Scan). These will be an extra £25
